Featured this month – a favourite local eatery with stylish decor, and an award-winning butcher for all meat lovers.
Opened since October 2019 on High Street, Populus is a great spot for your morning coffees and lunch dates. With a strong focus on community and design as much as their coffee and food, they bought this space to bring people of Berwick together.
Named after the Populus trees that line the High Street, the architecturally designed interior embraces the dark spaces with the use of different interior lighting and soft finishes. The contrast of the black and white terrazzo against the rose and blush hues creates an inviting and stylish space in a community known for its historic country charm.
Serving all-day breakfast and lunch, with customer favourites of Chilli Scramble and their version of avo smash ‘Spring Time Smash’ there’s a great inner city vibe at this venue.
Seating 120 guests in this space, they are open 7 days a week. Visit their website and Instagram page for the latest opening hours.
